Following successful completion of the Phase 2, Earth Structures Assessment Package which was completed on time and within budget, Norwest Holst Soil Engineering Limited were awarded a further 16 sites along the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly Lines.
The ground investigation work on the 16 sites included cable percussive boreholes utilising the Dando 150 and our own Air Winch Rig, window sampling, hydraulic sampled holes with the Competitor 150, concrete coring, topographic surveys, hand and machine excavated trial pits, geotechnical and chemical testing along with extensive long term monitoring.
Since the start of the Phase 2, Earth Structures Assessment Package ground investigation in September 2003 Norwest Holst Soil Engineering Limited have undertaken over £530,000 worth of ground investigations at 25 sites.
