Geotechnica 2026 – Wrap up

Geotechnica 2026 provided another busy showcase of Soil Engineering’s capabilities

The two-day event in Warwickshire saw a significant number of Soil Engineering’s leadership team populating the event stand, and even more visitors trying their hand at this year’s event challenge. Mixing fun and serious networking, the reactions game provided a perfect backdrop to discussions on how Soil Engineering can react to support your projects.

Key hot topics from the event included:

  • Our newly expanded Sonic Drilling capacity – now a fleet of four rigs operating across the UK.
  • The ability of our Geotechnical Laboratory to provide high quality testing data for our own projects as well as external “testing only” clients.
  • Data sharing – maximising your benefit from our extensive experience and past projects portfolio
  • More data sharing  – our Business Development Manager took part in a panel discussion on the positives of sharing project meta-data to signpost towards shared experience and support building better ground investigation
  • How much water everyone was getting through (Surely the hottest ever edition of the event?).

Key event takeaways

Geotechnica 2026 for Soil Engineering focussed strongly on collaboration. Spending time with both clients and our supply chain over the two days provided great opportunities to understand change and progress. Our clients gained a greater understanding of what our updated structure means for them, and how our ever more flexible capabilities can support their projects. Meanwhile, our supply chain were able to understand more opportunities to help us deliver as partners, where we’ve succeeded together, and where there’s room for improvement.

But what about the game? Well, firstly we had to disqualify our own staff members for probably having too many goes on it. Secondly, we had to disqualify our Marketing Manager’s daughter (along for a days work experience) because nepotism can’t win the day, we were delighted to present the hotly contested bottle of craft gin to Gerwyn Leigh. A further prize draw from everyone who entered will also see Soil Engineering gift packs sent to two lucky contestants.

We’ll have more updates on where you can meet us face-to-face coming up soon, but if you need to talk to us, don’t forget to reach out here in the meantime.
