That’s it for 2020

That’s it, the sun’s set on our last working day of 2020.

A year we’re unlikely to forget, and yet one in which Soil Engineering have continued to grow, to develop, and to keep achieving goals with our clients. Our Managing Director, Tristan Llewellyn, today wrote to all our staff saying “Despite the restrictions and impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic and the disruption experienced during the year we can all collectively celebrate a very successful 2020, a result we should all be proud of in very difficult circumstances”. This is true not only of our staff, but of our clients, and our supply chain.

As we wrap up, and the final journeys home some to an end, 2020 has brought us record breaking contract awards, projects for fantastic clients, and the opportunity to develop our staff in new and exciting ways. Lots of these will become the news stories of 2021 as they develop to completion, and we hope that many more people will join that story very soon.

Today’s picture is our winning entry for the Q4 Photo Competition. It was taken by Rowan McMillan, and shows Shona Bell hard at work identifying core samples in the site compound on the Northumberland Line project. Just one of the great projects we’ve been involved with this year.

Our offices are now closed, and will reopen on the 4th of January. Our email channels remain open, however, and will be checked regularly while we’re away. We look forward to doing more brilliant things with you all next year.

To all our Staff, Clients, Suppliers and Friends,
“I hope that you all enjoy a well-earned break and that you and your families have a very happy Christmas.” Tristan Llewellyn, Managing Director.
